Cookie policy
Everything this site stores on your device, what each item is for, how long it lasts, and how to change your mind.
Last updated 3 October 2026
This policy lists what this site stores on your device or reads back from it, what each item is for and how long it lasts.
Nothing beyond what is strictly necessary is set until you have made a choice, and you can change that choice at any time using the cookie link at the bottom of every page.
Your choice
The first time you arrive we ask whether you accept cookies that are not strictly necessary. Accepting and rejecting are offered at the same size, weight and colour, because under UK law refusing has to be as easy as agreeing.
If you reject them, no analytics or advertising cookie is set and none is read. If you accept, you can withdraw that at any time through the cookie link in the footer.
Strictly necessary
These make the site and the artist portal work. They are set whatever you choose, because without them the site cannot do what you have asked it to do.
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
xz_consent |
Remembers the cookie choice you made, so that you are not asked again on every page | 6 months |
wordpress_logged_in_* |
Keeps you signed in to the artist portal and ties the session to your own account | Until you sign out, or 14 days if you asked to be remembered |
wordpress_sec_* |
Secures that signed-in session on encrypted pages | As above |
wp-settings-* |
Remembers screen preferences for signed-in users | 1 year |
Our hosting and caching layer may also set short-lived cookies for load balancing. They carry nothing about you and are not used to build any profile.
Analytics
If you accept, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is being used: which pages get read, how people arrive, and where they give up. Our property identifier is G-L8KDK96YYP. Signed-in users are excluded from this measurement.
| Name | Set by | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga |
Distinguishes one browser from another so that visits can be counted | 13 months | |
_ga_L8KDK96YYP |
Holds the session state for our property | 13 months |
Advertising
If you accept, Google tags on this site measure whether an advertisement led to an enquiry, and may serve advertising. Our Google Ads conversion identifier is AW-16987358035 and our Google AdSense publisher identifier is ca-pub-6031683748455318.
These set cookies and similar identifiers on Google’s own domains, including google.com and doubleclick.net, which can be used to measure and target advertising across other sites. They are not set unless you accept, and rejecting stops them entirely.
Embedded content
Some pages embed video and other content hosted elsewhere, including YouTube. Once that content loads or you play it, the provider can set and read its own cookies, exactly as if you had visited their site. We have no control over those, and their own policies apply.
Our visitor counter
We count visits ourselves rather than relying on anyone else to tell us how busy the site is. The counter records the page, the day, and the website you arrived from.
It sets no cookie, reads nothing from your device and stores no IP address. To avoid counting one person repeatedly in a day it stores a one-way token made from your IP address and a secret that changes daily; the secret is destroyed after two days, after which the token cannot be traced back to anyone. Because nothing is stored on your device and nobody can be identified, it runs whatever choice you make.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and most browsers let you do that for one site at a time. Blocking everything will stop you signing in to the artist portal, because the sign-in cookie is what keeps you signed in.
Google publishes its own account of the cookies it uses at policies.google.com/technologies/cookies, and offers a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics everywhere at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Changes
When we add or remove something that sets a cookie, we update this page and the date at the top of it. If we add a new purpose, we will ask for your choice again rather than assume the old one covers it.
